Big Garden Room Reception

Last weekend, we had a beautiful, big reception in the Garden Room. Over 700 people came. Their colors were coral, pinks, oranges and yellow. I thought it was the most beautiful color pallette for the Garden Room I've seen so far.

Dance Party at Hidden Falls

Over 500 people came to this reception in Hidden Falls and the dance floor was filled all night. Super fun!

Anniversary Parties

August 8th was a big day for 50th wedding anniversaries. I coordinated two different parties that day alone! Congratualtions to 50 years of happiness!

Fireworks!

My colleague Brittany planned a reception in the Loggia that ended with a BANG!

SI Event

This event was several months ago, but I thought I should post it. The group had an amazing audio/visual display including dual rear projection screens, teleprompters and video recording. The event drew a lot of media attention, so there were additional security concerns. I had a lot of preparation for this event, but it went very smoothly and there were no problems at all!

W&R Dinner Reception

I loved the colors the bride chose: purple, lavender and black. She had all the flowers flown in from Hawaii the night before. I think it looks gorgeous!

H&B Reception

The H&B reception was the first reception in the Rose Room since our remodeling has taken place. It turned out beautifully! Their color scheme of Dusty Rose, Grey and Pearl White complimented the new decor perfectly. Ms. H booked the room site-unseen and was pleasantly surprised with how everything came together.

Wedding Festival at South Towne Expo Center

Our booth at the South Towne Expo Center this year was quite the eye-popping experience. It was all butterflies and bright colors -- both of which are big trends this year. We received a number of compliments and comments of "these are my colors!" It was a great success!

H&L Reception

We had another beautifully classic and elegant reception in the Garden Room last week. The bride's colors were lavender and chocolate brown. Everything was perfect. Our pastry chef customized some desserts for her refreshments. They had Raspberry Mousse Cake and Chocolate Hazelnut Cake Petit Fours. They were both delicious. The bride was expecting 325 guests, but more than 400 people came.

B98.7 and Channel 2 Interviews

Recently, I was asked to be one of the spokespeople for the Thanksgiving Point Wedding Expo during a radio and television interview. I spoke to Todd of the Todd and Erin show on B98.7 in the mornings. It wasn't the first time I'd been on the radio, but it was the first time I was in a radio station. I brought them some food to sample and spoke about the number of reasons to come to the show. It was only a four minute segment and it felt like even shorter.

The next morning, I did 2 segments for the Channel 2 morning news. Casey Scott came to the Barn at Thanksgiving Point and did several segments about the Wedding Expo. My first segment was about personalizing your bouquet.

I was sooooo nervous for the first segment. I know you can tell in my voice. I don't sound like I'm having any fun at all. The second segment was a lot better. I actually was enjoying myself! It was about different kinds of favors to have at your reception.
